"Nooooo Maayaaaa" Karan shouted and ran towards her. By the time Karan reached her Abhimanyu already ran away. "Maya...maya...maya pls wake up pls." Karan pleaded while others came running towards her and dropped some water while trying to wake her up but she won't respond. So Karan just took her in his arms and headed towards the car.
He made Maya sleep on the back seat while he rushed the car in the speed of wind to reach the hospital. On their way Maya came to consciousness for a while and said, "K-k-karan please be with me." "Yes-y-yes Maya I'm right here." Karan said as he whipped his tears.
Soon they reached the hospital and Maya's treatment started. Everyone was already at the hospital worried and exhausted, when the doctor gave an update about Maya saying that it was a very serious condition, The bullet passed through Maya's spinal cord which is dangerous because it has affected not only Maya's spinal cord but the brain will also not be able to receive messages from certain body parts as one of the main function of spinal cord is to transfer messages to the brain.
Everyone was shocked especially Karan, the doctor also said that they are trying their best to save her but they cannot guarantee anything.
[After 3 hours]
It was night time already and there was no improvement in Maya's condition. The doctors were trying very hard to make sure Maya survived this but no positive news had come. Karan and others were really very worried, a bunch of news reporters and media had gathered at the hospital to know what the situation was.
In a while the police commissioner arrived along with a team of police and increased the hospital security. Everyone's statement was recorded by them after which Karan told the commissioner that whatever happens Abhimanyu is not seeing the next sunrise, but the police commissioner asked him to calm down and said that they will arrest Abhimanyu once Maya is conscious and her statement is recorded but Karan just glared at him and said, "I am the prince mujhe jo karna hoga I'll do. Meri Maya ko iss halat mai uss Abhimanyu ne pohchaya hai and I won't bear this. Aapko jo karna hai kre mai aaj he uss Abhimanyu Kapoor ko jaan se maar duga."
Saying this Karan pushed everyone and left the hospital. Shivang followed him, Vikram & Jagruti tried to stop him but he wouldn't listen to anyone. "Aaj koi nahi rokega mujhe. Ye mujhe tb he kar deni chahiye thi jab..." Karan said but stopped after Jagruti silently pointed towards the commissioner after which Karan pushed everyone away and went towards the car along with Shivang.
On their way Shivang had called his friends because there will be very tight security at Abhimanyu's residence and they'll need men to fight. Soon they arrived at Abhimanyu's residence but got to know that he was on his way to Tokyo and was heading towards the airport. Soon everyone settled in their cars and headed towards the airport. On their way Shivang called the commissioner and asked him to inform the airport security about Abhimanyu so that he is unable to board his flight.
After reaching the airport they spreaded and were looking for Abhimanyu. Karan spotted him while Abhimanyu was arguing with the security. Karan ran towards him and pulled his arm and dragged him towards the exit but Abhimanyu somehow got off his hold, "Agar public k samne apni izzat rakhni hai to chup chap yaha se chalo varna sabke samne mar duga." Karan said in anger while looking eye to eye to Abhimanyu with his red eyes filled with anger.
Abhimanyu did not have the guts to say anything after seeing Karan's furious look. So he respectfully went with him. Soon they were in the car and headed towards the city. In between Karan stopped the car and took Abhimanyu out of the car and badly punched him due to which Abhimanyu lost his balance and fell down. "Meri Maya ko harm karega tu ha? How? How dare you? Meri wife hai vo usse touch bhi kaise kiya tune? Abhimanyu, this was the last mistake of your life. I won't spare you now." Karan as he badly beatted Abhimanyu.
"Bs ye he dukh dard dekhna tha tere chehre par. Issi liye teri Maya ko goli maari. This is what I wanted to see. Bahut hawa mein udte ho na tum Raghuvanshi agar tumhare kisse logo ko bata diye hote to aaj tumhara namu nishan bhi na hota, thank me ki mera muh abhi tak bandh raha." Abhimanyu said as he cleaned the blood from his chin.
"Just shut up, tumhare paapoo ka ghada bhar gaya hai and your end has come." Shivang said while grabbing Abhimanyu's shirt's collar and added "Bhai iski bakwas mat suno just shoot him." and pushed Abhimanyu towards Karan.
Karan pointed the gun towards Abhimanyu, fired the gun and in no time Abhimanyu was lying dead on the road.
Karan called the commissioner and gave him their location. After some 30 minutes the police arrived and along with them Vikram & Vidut had also come. Karan was sitting on his car's bonnet waiting for them to arrive. "Aapko kya karna hai aap jante hai sir." Karan said to the commissioner and asked Vikram about Maya but there was no positive response so he straightly headed to the hospital along with Shivang.
[On their way to the hospital]
Karan suddenly stopped the car, hugged Shivang and started crying very badly. "Bhai, bhabhi theek ho jayegi don't worry." Shivang said with water in his eyes. "Yaar Maya k sath ye sab meri vajah se ho raha hai. Mujhse nahi dekha ja raha." Karan said while crying even harder. "Bhai ismai aapki koi galti nahi hai, pls don't blame yourself." Shivang said but before Karan could reply his phone rang and it was from Jagruti, he quickly picked it up in a hope to get some positive update about Maya's health.
Jagruti said, "The doctors have successfully removed the bullet from her spinal cord but," "But what ma?" Karan asked. "But Maya ke brain ko enough blood nahi mil raha and uski vjah se abhi bhi vo hosh mai nahi aayi hai and doctors bol rahe hai ki agar Maya kal raat tak hosh mai nahi aayi to they will have to do a very critical surgery so that Maya k brain ko blood mil sake." Jagruti added.
"Maa don't worry mai vahi aa raha hu and Maya ko bhi hosh aa jayega kal raat tak I'll make sure of it." Karan said as he wiped his tears, started the car and headed towards the hospital.
Karan rushed to the hospital and sat beside Maya, held her hand, kissed it gently and said, "Maya please get up. Tum aaise bilkul achi nahi lagti. Please get up." Karan stayed beside Maya the whole day without leaving her hand. Jagruti brought some dinner for him but he refused to eat, everyone was present at the hospital, it was night time so the hospital staff asked everyone to leave and allowed only 2 people to stay there. Karan & Shivang stayed at the hospital.
It was almost midnight and Karan was still awake looking at Maya and praying for her recovery when Maya showed some moment in her arm which brought a small smile on Karan's face and he said, "Maya, maya I'm here please talk to me please please" listening to this Shivang woke up and went to Karan,"Kya hua bhai?" he asked. "She showed some movement in her arm,"Karan replied.
"k-kk-Karan" Maya said in a low, scattering voice. "Mayaaa, thank god tum hosh mai aa gayi." Karan said and hugged Maya while Shivang went to call the doctors. Soon the doctors came and started examining Maya, they did some tests and they were better than previous reports. "Maya is recovering, jo treatments humne ki thi they have worked and ab maximum ak week mai Maya ji bilkul theek ho jayegi uske baad aap inhe ghar le ja sakte hai." The doctor reported this to Karan & Shivang.
[Next morning]
Others had arrived at the hospital and they were all happy to see Maya. Sujata hugged Maya and said, "tumne to hum sab ko dara he diya tha." Everyone met Maya and they were all looking happy except for Rukmani. Maya saw her standing in the corner without paying any attention to Maya. Sujata noticed that so just to distract Maya she said, Maya I got you some apples. "Ma doctor ne abhi isse kuch bhi khane se mana kiya hai. Sirf juice he dena hai." Shivnang said.
Throughout the day doctors were constantly present to check Maya, it was night time, Maya was accompanied by Karan and Shivang. Karan fell asleep beside Maya & held her hand. Maya was awake and seeing to this she got some tears in her eyes as she thought and spoke to herself that, "I don't know when did I get so lucky that I got blessed with such a loving family and a caring partner. Thank you god for this best gift of my life."
[After 2 days]
Maya was recovering, she was able to move and talk properly. Doctors allowed Maya to have intake of light food and fruits. Everyone took good care of her while Karan literally pampered her like a small child. He would feed her with his hand, Help her go to the washroom and also caress her foot and back when she felt some pain.
It was as if this incident brought them closer and gave them some clarity about their feelings for each other.
"Servants ki trah Maya k piche pada rehta hai, Vikram kuch bolo Karan ko. Wife hai uski malkin nahi." Rukmani said to Karan which was overheard by Karan, he could not control and said, "Agar wife k dukh mai uska saath dene se mai nokar ban jata hu to muje koi problem nahi hai bua." "Rukmani Karan sirf help kar raha hai Maya ki. Ye ak ache pati ki sign hai nokaro vali koi baat nahi hai ismai." Vikram said. "He bhagwan kya ho gaya hai in sab ko uss ladki k piche sab pagal ho rahe hai." Rukmani said. "Papa agar bua ko Maya pasand nahi hai then unhe kahe yaha se chali jaye, mai Maya k against kuch nahi sununga." Karan said to Vikram and left.
Vikram had a word with Rukmani which was disliked by her and she left the hospital.
[After few days]
It was almost a week now and Maya was doing well. She was discharged from the hospital but doctors had suggested a complete bed rest as she had a terrible back pain. Everyone took great care of her, especially her beloved husband who did not leave her side even for a minute. Jagruti and Sujata would help her in dressing up, Shivang would feed her and entertain her while Vidut & Vikram would sit with her and talk about their day in a hope that Maya will be distracted from the pain.
Sometimes Maya would cry seeing all the love and care she was receiving due to which she would get a nice scolding from others. This tough time made Maya comfortable with others and also helped her know everyone in a better way.
On a beautiful evening Maya, Karan & Shivang were chit chatting in their room when Shivang said, "Bhaabhi aapne to bhai ko pura change kr diya hai, I've never seen bhai crying or praying soo much, it's as if I'm seeing his new version." "Crying? Kyun? What happened?" Maya asked as she thought Karan was an alpha and he would never get weak no matter what.
"Ha bhabhi when we were returning after killing Abhimanyu bhai hugged me & broke down, aapke liye bahut pareshan the bhai." Shivang said and received a pinch from Karan on his leg. "Aaa bhai kya hai, bata ne do na bhabhi ko. Unko bhi to pata chale aap kya feel krte ho." Shivang said as he screamed. "Karan aap..." Maya said but could not find words so she paused but she realized that Shivang just spoke that they were returning after killing Abhimanyu.
"Wait... Shivang what do you mean by killing Abhimanyu?" Maya asked. "Killing means killing bhabhi." Shivang replied "What? You just... how? Why?" Maya asked shockingly. "Usne tumhe hurt kiya tha, how can I spare him? I shot him with a bullet just like he tried to shoot you." Karan said after which Shivang explained the whole scene to Maya in detail. "But police ne aapko arrest nahi kiya? it's a crime na." Maya innocently asked to which Karan & Shivang laughed and Karan said, "Police commissioner ko apni job pyaari hai, humare against vo kuch nahi kar sakte. Unhone bata diya ki Abhimanyu was running away from the police when they shot him." listening to this, Maya's jaw dropped and she could not believe that this actually happened.
[After 2 hours]
Shivang had left, Maya was busy on her phone and Karan was working on his laptop when a helper came and notified Karan that Rukmani's husband, Pratap jaysinh had arrived. Listening to this Maya was shocked and said, "Pratap Jaysinh" "Ha maya, kyun kya hua?" Karan asked. "K-k-kuch nahi" Maya said and smiled a bit. Soon Rukmani , Pratap and Jagruti came into Maya's room to see Maya.
Maya was shocked to see Pratap and was numb and scared too as she received a nasty look from Pratap.
