[In the morning]
Maya was still asleep when Karan woke up, Karan slowly caressed Maya's head and went to take bath, he quickly got ready as it was a very important day and he cannot waste a single second.
Karan was above to leave the room but accidentally a file fell from his hand which woke up Maya & she instantly got up just to see Karan dressed in a white shirt, well set hair & his eyes covered with his glasses. Maya could not speak a word after seeing Karan.
"Good Morning beautiful" karan wished Maya & added, "sorry to disturb your sleep", "its-its ok, waise bhi pehla din hai to jaldi uthna he tha." Maya said as she adjusted the sleeves of her blue anarkali.
"Aap ready ho jao, fir niche chalte hai aaj k sare plans discuss karne hai." Karan told Maya while taking his glasses off. "Ready?? Vo mere pass kuch pehen ne ko hai nahi. What should I wear?" Maya said with hesitation. "Ohh ha, don't worry mai abhi Maa ko bolta hu she'll get you something for sure." Karan said and called Jagruti for help.
In no time Jagruti presented a beautiful pink kurta set before Maya and said, "maine ye dress ak event k liye le thi, but vo event cancel ho gaya to kabhi pehne ka moka he nahi mill. To ab tum ye rakho tum pr acha lagega." Maya thanked Jagruti and admired the dress. Jagruti left the room and told them to quickly come to the breakfast table.
Maya took a bath and sat on the dressing table to get ready, she opened her beautiful long hair which almost reached her waist and gently combed them.
Karan was sitting on the couch near the balcony and was looking towards the dressing table as if he was seeing a woman getting ready for the first time. Maya saw Karan's reflection in the mirror and noticed that Karan's eyes were constantly on her. Which was a bit awkward for Maya but she didn't get a bad feeling about it.
Maya started putting sindoor on her hair partition but was stopped by Karan, "May I? I have seen baba putting sindoor on Ma's head and I always wanted to do the same with my wife so should I? Karan asked as he moved towards the dressing table.
Maya felt shy and just nodded her head while giving sindoor to Karan he took some amount from the box and filled Maya's partition with it which gave Maya millions & trillions of butterflies in her stomach and on the other side this moment was so special for Karan because it was something he dreamt to do with his wife & his lifelong dream was coming true.
After some moment of eye contact they went downstairs and had breakfast, after the breakfast everyone was seated in the hall and Shivang's friend, Khushi who was the event planner informed everyone of the schedule for the day.
Later Jagruti informed Maya that she had called some designer to fill her closet with the most beautiful & elegant clothes. Maya got excited but didn't show it on her face, she simply thanked Jagruti with a huge smile.
The designers had brought some dresses for tonight's event Jagruti asked the designers helper to take all the clothes in Maya's room so that Maya could wear them and decide which dress she'll pick for the big announcement.
Karan was already present in the room but Maya was unaware about it, as soon as Maya opened the door she saw a manly figure on the bed which scared her for a second but she calmed herself down after she noticed it was none other than her handsome husband, Karan.
The helper kept the dresses and left after which Maya added, "I don't know what to wear. I don't know how the royal families dress up. Can you please select something which will be perfect for the event" Maya said in a very low innocent voice.
Karan smiled at her and got up to have a closer look of the dresses. Karan picked a golden gown with beautiful small minute details. Maya tried it and Karan was numb after seeing Maya. "This dress was made for you, it's perfect. No need to try anything else, this is the dress." Karan said with a huge smile on his face. Maya was also very happy after seeing herself in such a beautiful dress. She never imagined she'd wear something like that ever.
She happily went downstairs and told the designer that she'll have the golden dress. Later the designer took her measurements for other outfits which she'll wear on a daily basis. Jagruti asked Maya to pick some bags, footwear & western outfits for herself but Maya refused out of shyness so Jagruti herself picked some western outfits, bags and footwear for Maya. In short Maya's closet was filled with all essentials.
Maya was very happy, she was very grateful to everyone and was sitting beside Jagruti & Sujata while they chose some sarees for the wedding, that was when Maya & Sujata overheard the designer's helpers "She is so sharp & cunning. Ak raat mai kaise kismat badal di. Mujhe to lagta hai vo news issi ne spread ki hogi. Just to get attention from the royal family varna iski kya aukat hai." Maya's heart was in pieces after she heard this, but she did not react.
Sujata got angry & said "How dare you to address your future queen like this?" Listening to this, tears flowed from Maya's eyes but she did not lift her face and made any kind of eye contact with the others present in the room.
"What happened ma'am did they do something wrong?" the designer politely asked Sujata. "Yes, they've done too much. They're just speaking whatever is coming in their mind. We don't need your clothes, just leave the mansion now." Sujata said while pointing towards the door.
"I-I-I'm really sorry on behalf of them. I'll fire them this second only. Please calm down ma'am." the designer said while giving a very cold look to the helpers and asking them to leave the room. "We are done with the shopping, you may go now. Make sure all the dresses are ready in a day or two." Jagruti said. She then saw Maya who was struggling to breath and could not speak a word and tears flowed from her red eyes.
She quickly called Karan from the room. Soon Karan saw Maya in this state and screamed, "Mayaaaaa" out of shock which was heard by everyone in the palace. Maharaj Vikram & Vidut came out of the office while Shivang ran to see what happened to his bhabhi from his room.
Karan quickly ran towards Maya and hugged her tightly. That was when Maya completely surrendered herself to Karan and cried her heart out.
"Maya beti ko kya ho raha hai?" Vikram asked. "She's having a panic attack. Jb bhi kuch chiz inko bohot hurt krti hai ya past ka koi flashback aata hai to she get these panic attacks. She just needs some time, she'll be fine soon. I'll take her to the room." Karan told everyone in a worried voice & picked Maya in his arms and left the hall.
Karan carefully made Maya sleep on the bed and was above to go towards the couch when Maya held his hand and asked Karan to be by her side for a while in soft voice. Karan could not refuse, sat on the bed and held Maya's hand. In no time Maya peacefully fell asleep and Karan was lost in thoughts of who actually released the news.
He was sure that someone from his rivals had spread this news, and today all the leading companies were invited to the party and Karan was sure that the person to spread the news will surely attend the party in order to see how Karan's image had suffered after the news. He planned to thank that person while announcing his & Maya's wedding tonight, in a hope of some reaction from the person.
In no time Karan also fell asleep without realizing there are so many tasks to be done for the party. Our love bird's sleep was disturbed when Shivang knocked on the door, "Bhai...it's me" he said after knocking for a couple of times and waking Karan & Maya. Karan opened the door while Maya fixed her hair. As soon as the door was opened, Karan was simply ignored by Shivang as he ran towards Maya, sat in front of her and said, "Yaar bhabhi aap roya mat kro. Bilkul acha nahi lagta mujhe." Maya gave a soft smile to this. Karan hit Shivang's head and said, "Bhabhi ke chamche, bhai ko hi hello kuch nahi sidha bhabhi ki khbr lene chala hai."
"Ha kyunki aapka kya hai, aapka to har time mood off he rehta hai, I'm used to it, but bhabhi ka mood to kabhi kabhi he off hota hai so unko entertain karna is important. Mai nahi chahta aapke saath reh kr meri bhabhi bhi aapki trah akadu bn jaye." Shivang said and in return was hit by a pillow which Karan threw on him and soon the room was converted into a pillow fight ground.
Maya burst in laughter after seeing the two brothers fighting like kids. Karan & Shivang noticed her laughter and ended the fight as they joined Maya. All three of them burst into laughter but were interrupted by Jagruti, "Kya chal raha hai yaha, pagal ho gaye ho kya teeno? Niche tak tumhari hasi ki awaz aa rahi hai." Jagruti said in a jolly tone and added, "Maya beta tum theek ho vo to dikh he raha hai to ab chalo ache se kuch khana kha lo. Ak ghante mai makeup artists aa jayege tumhe ready krne."
"Ha maa, mai fruits kha lugi don't worry." Maya said with a smile. "Theek hai beta, Karan makes sure she eats fruits." Jagruti said to Karan to which Karan nodded his head & Jagruti left.
"Acha chalo bhai-bhabhi muje bhi Khushi ke saath event ki thodi discussion karni hai so I'll leave." Shivang said to which Maya teased him, "Khushi or Khushi baby?" to which Shivang replied "Kya bhabhi ab aap bhi shuru ho gayi" and left the room in shyness.
"I love this side of your Maya, aise hi rehna please." Karan said, which led to an awkward silence.
[After 5 hours]
The guests had already arrived and everyone was very eager to have a glimpse of the girl who had been on the news for a few days. The royal family was already present at the venue, everyone's eyes were searching for that one unknown girl but failed as Maya was supposed to make entry after Maharaja Vikram announced about the wedding.
Karan had met all his professional friends, and at last he went to meet Abhimanyu. "Hello Mr. Abhimanyu, I hope you are enjoying the party." Karan said as he shook hands with Abhimanyu. "Yes..yes I'm having a great time." Abhimanyu said. Then Karan greeted Abhimanyu's family after which Abhimanyu asked Karan "Where is that beautiful lady jisko tumne patini maana tha?" "ohh, you don't have to worry about her. Please mind your own business Mr. Kapoor." Karan said as he gave a cold look to Abhimanyu and left the spot.
"Papa I guess you should announce now, everyone is here." Karan said to Vikram.
"Good evening everyone, I hope you all are having a great time. Today's party was not just a celebration of our deal with Roshan industries. We have a very big announcement to make." Vikram spoke these words which left everyone in shock, especially Abhimanyu and then added, "With god's blessing we finally found the perfect future queen of Malva, and we are very very happy to announce Maya as our daughter-in-law cum daughter." while pointing towards Maya who made a grand entry with Karan in her beautiful golden gown.
Everyone's jaw dropped on seeing Maya, everyone was attracted towards her glowing skin, beautiful long hair, big brown eyes and the most pleasing smile. The scene was as if an angel had just landed on the earth to spread light.
As they walked towards the stage Karan softly told Maya, "Don't panic, stay confident and keep smiling. Saari aakhe bhale he tum pr ho but just ignore them. Don't worry I'll be by your side throughout the function." to which Maya gently smiled towards him.
Karan & Maya headed towards the stage as they held each other's hand. Soon Karan started with his speech. "Hello everyone, this is one of the best days of my life, I cannot believe I'm marrying a person like Maya. I'm very excited to spend the rest of my life with her and on this special occasion how can I forget the person who made me realize that I was in love with Maya,
So today I thank that unknown face who published news about me and Maya in almost every newspaper. Maybe he did it with some other intention but whatever, it came out to be a very good thing for me." Karan said these words which boiled Abhimanyu's mind, he immediately left the party area and went towards the washroom which was seen by Shivang and he followed him.
"Aaaaaa...how could this happen...how the hell is this man so happy? I wanna destroy his career but he...he just ... aaaaa" Abhimanyu said to himself as he punched his hand on the mirror and broke it. Shivang heard all these and headed towards Karan
Meanwhile, on the stage Karan took a beautiful diamond ring out of his pocket, went on his knees and asked out Maya, "Ms. Maya Shaah, will you like to be Mrs. Maya Karan Raghuvanshi" Maya didn't know about the proposal, it was all like a dream come true for her. She had seen all these in movies only, she was very happy & could not control her tears. She said, "y-yes I would love to be called Mrs. Raghuvanshi" and Karan slides the ring in her finger. Both Maya & Karan were on cloud 9.
Later everyone greeted Maya and Karan introduced everyone to Maya. Maya had just heard these people's names in the news till date. She was happy to personally meet these people. When Maya finally got some alone time with Karan she held his hand and took him to a quiet place, "This is one of the best days of my life and all these is all because of you. Thank you so much for everything, thank you for changing my life. All these things, ring, proposal, parties, a good & loving family everything is something I never imagined that it'll ever happen in my life. Once again thank you thank you thank you soooo much for all these." Maya said as she held Karan's hand.
"Tumhara meri zindagi mein hona is the biggest blessing of my life. Or aaj ak promise krta hu tumhe ki kabhi bhi tumhe suffer nahi karne duga and humesha tumhe khush rakhuga." Karan said while looking deep into Maya's eyes. "Hum ak dusre ko abhi utna ache se jante nahi hai, so let's start our relationship with friendship so that we get to know each other more." Maya said with a gentle smile and moving her hand towards Karan. "Yes, let's be best friends first and get to know each other more."
